Americano- the less strong version of espresso; shots of espresso mixed with lots of hot water.
Bar pressure- the pressure at which the steam penetrates the coffee granules; the higher the bar pressure, the higher the extraction of flavour and taste.
Conical burr grinder- these coffee grinders are attributed by motor driven plates with jawed teeth that grind coffee beans into consistent and small sized granules. These grinders provide control over the speed and also on the size of the granules. These grinders are the most preferred type of grinders in terms of their efficiency.
Cappuccino- hot shots of espresso mixed with rich, creamy, frothed milk.
Drip tray- they catch the spillage and retain it inside their build; some with a warmer facility to reatin the temperature of the coffee.
ESE pods- (Easy Serving Espresso) coffee discs that contain measured amount of ground coffee, sandwiched and sealed between filter papers.
Espresso- short, dark coffee, very strong in taste; it is prepared without milk; it serves as the base in the preparation of cappuccinos, macchiatos, americanos and lattes.
Instant coffee- powdered and processed form of coffee that is dissolved in hot water or milk to prepare a beverage.
Filter holder- aluminium or brass component that retains the filtered coffee granules.
Gourmet coffee- high quality coffee with superior taste
Latte- these are hot shots of espresso mixed with hot milk.
Macchiato- hot shots of espressos topped up with frothed milk.
Nespresso capsules- capsules that contain precise amount of ground coffee, packed within aluminium foil. He aluminium foil is thick on the upper surface, while it is thinner on the lower surface. A plasticised lining restricts and limits the contact between the ground coffee and the aluminium foil. Nespresso capsules are patented by Nestle company.
Solenoid valves- these valves control the flow of water inside the inlet pipes.
